Community integration is more than living in a community setting. Having access to the community does not mean the person is engaged. We envision a world where people with special needs are accepted and are valued contributors to the communities in which they live. Our residents are encouraged to be participatory, engaged citizens in the community. Based on the persons’ interests, we will work with them to identify opportunities where they can make meaningful impacts in their community. This will look different for each unique person in our program but our goal is to assist our residents in finding ways to connect, engage, and contribute to their community.
